Unlock Runcorn is a community based charity, run by volunteers, that relies on subscriptions and donations to operate.
“Friends of Unlock Runcorn” can obtain Bronze, Silver or Gold recognition for helping the charity with a small monthly donation of £3, £6 or £9 respectively. At this point we have nothing to offer except good karma and the sure and certain knowledge that you are helping a good cause. Gift Aid (+25%) will be claimed from HMRC on all qualifying donations.
The money will only be used to cover the charity’s running costs (Insurance, Accountancy, IT etc.). Future grants may be contingent on the charity contributing a percentage of the money required and any surplus will be added to a reserve fund for this purpose. This is known as Match-Funding.
No trustees or volunteers receive any remuneration from charity funds. Our accounts are examined by an independent firm of chartered accountants (AGP) and submitted to the Charity Commission each year where we are registered as Runcorn Locks Restoration Society (No. 1170027). These are visible for anyone to see.
